Pleasure Pool and Deck built the pool of our dreams! This family owned business is run by Renee, Art, and Ken. We went with Pleasure Pool and Deck after reviewing several bids from other contractors. They were the most accommodating, experienced, and willing to work within our budget. They added a personal touch and shared their experience to make us feel confident about their work. We also liked working with a family business rather than a larger company. They visited with us a few times before the project began and shared information on the phone many times. They helped us plan for the entire project.Their work was excellent. The pool looks amazing and they talked us through each sequence of the project. They completed the project quickly on time. We are so happy with our pool!I would recommend Pleasure Pool and Deck to anyone interested in a pool.
I am so happy about my new pool. This company was awesome to work with. Family owned and operated and you have Ken on site every day, doing a lot of work himself. He was pleasant and professional and did a great job. You can tell that he treated my pool as if it was his own. He doesn't let his guys slack at all (not that they did) but was on top of every aspect of the pool build. His guys were like a well oiled machine. They started digging on Tuesday and we were swimming by Friday. I was worried about our soil being too rocky but it was not a problem for Ken at all. He did all of the excavation work and did a fantastic job. We have a pretty decent hill/slope to our backyard but he moved dirt and graded everything perfectly. He was also very helpful in deciding what type of pool shape and size worked best with my yard. I had an idea how I wanted everything to look and the finished product was exactly what I had in mind. Renee is Kens mom and she runs the office and is really nice to deal with and returns calls quickly if she is not there. Price was very reasonable also for the quality of work in my opinion. I really cannot say enough good things about this company and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting an in-ground pool.
Extremely happy with Pleasure Pools! They were very professional and punctual. They started on a Monday and our daughter was swimming on Thursday. They handled all of the details and gave us exactly what we wanted. They came everyday(on time) and worked all day and cleaned so there was no mess to live with. We have had our pool for 3 years and the quality is great, no problems at all. They come to close the pool every year and it looks so great when we open it in the Spring. I would(and have)recommend them to anyone!
Our experience with Pleasure Pool & Deck was as outstanding as one could possible expect. The project was on budget and on time. They said what they meant and did what they said they would do. They showed up daily on time and worked feverishly to get our project finished. The quality of their work was unparalleled to anything I have ever experienced from a contractor, they are definitely not your average contractor. They partnered with us to deliver on our vision that we jointly discussed at our first meeting with Ken. Ken led the project from start to finish, going far and above on many aspects of the project, delivering on what was to us, one of the best experiences of our lives. My family now loves our backyard, which was transformed from a boring, useless space, to a virtual paradise. I made the mistake at the beginning of the project to go against the advice of Ken and use a concrete guy I found to install the pool deck. The concrete work went terribly, the pool border turned out to be a disaster and had to be removed and re-poured. Ken immediately put me in touch with his go-to concrete crew and brokered a meeting between the three of us the same day that I asked for help with the concrete mess I had gotten myself into. Mike B. and crew swarmed the scene almost instantly and remedied an otherwise hopeless situation. They removed the old border, re-poured the new border, formed the pool deck and steps to our back door, poured the concrete (exposed aggregate), and sealed it. It looks amazing and you can tell Mike B. is a true professional. The concrete was graded and poured to perfection. Like clockwork, Pete Morelli, of Morelli Fence, consulted with us and installed our fence within a couple days. Ken's crew worked like a well oiled machine, delivering on unmatched quality and service. My only regret was not having them do our concrete work from the start. At any rate, I would highly recommend Please Pool & Deck to anyone who is looking to install an in-ground pool.
I don’t think there enough words to describe how happy we have been. From the mud pit beginnings, to the place we now call Paradise, we have not one complaint. Kenny and the crew were amazing. Their patience with my boy’s non-stop questions and need to help was so appreciated. The guys were kind to our family and respectful to us and also our property. Even though the backyard was a muddy mess, not a tool, a cig butt or a gum wrapper was left behind. Every time I call the office, Kerri is beyond sweet and patient with me. Thank you. And Renee, thank you for your kindness in giving my guys the floats, and working with us through the planning process. We proudly give you guys raving reviews to anyone we meet.
Provider of chemicals. Great quality on water bags. Pricing isn’t as competitive as other local pool supply stores, but worth spending more money to deal with professionals and courteous employees.
Built a 18’ x 40’ vinyl liner pool with 4 feet of concrete, automatic cover and did hardscape with boulders. Finding a pool company that you want to work with is a difficult proposition to begin with. We interviewed five companies. We researched pools and thought we wanted a fiberglass pool. We had pool companies come out and give us pricing, etc. The original pricing was so drastically different for the exact same pool and the more we researched, the more we found that there were very few local companies that had experience doing fiberglass pools. Of the bunch we had provide proposals, Pleasure stood out. Dave came out, provided the base data on the pool options and spent quite a bit of time talking with us about the fiberglass pools. He also asked what we didn’t like about the vinyl liner and that turned out to be an important question. We didn’t like the vinyl “tile” border or the big thick white coping strip that is often very prominent in vinyl pools. The truth was, we had an above ground pool and we wanted an in-ground pool that didn’t cost six figures. Putting six figures in a hole in your backyard was not the direction we wanted to go, but we also wanted to keep our kids and their friends close. Ultimately, we went with Pleasure Pool because they were reasonable to deal with, had a bunch of experience and we felt we could effectively work with them through a pretty major project. Kenny is a rock star and all of the recommendations they provided were spot-on and they worked with us to find a vinyl liner without seams that went over the steps with texture so the steps were not super slippery. The folks at Pleasure Pool, a family-owned and operated shop, went above and beyond. My husband and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. In fact, my husband is determined to get one of our friends to put in a pool with Pleasure Pool. Great experience, great people to work with and we are very pleased with our new pool.
Their worker came to my house to replace a broken part on my slide. While he was there, he checked my water settings and realized that my salt system wasn’t producing chlorine. He checked and the inside electrical panel wasn’t working. While he was there, he checked the motor because it sounded too loud. He checked and both items were still under warranty. They ordered the parts and showed up not too long after and replaced them. How often do you get that great service when an item is under warranty? They built my pool three years ago in only three days. I selected them because they do not use sub-contractors and do all the work themselves. A lot of times business owners pass the buck on problems and blame them on sub-contractors. I would definitely recommend them if you have or want to have a pool.
Pleasure Pool installed a rectangle-shaped, 18’x36’ in-ground swimming pool in our backyard. Options included an automatic pool cover with under-guide system, in-wall pool ladder, 18’ liner over step, heater, salt water system and automatic pool cleaner. We decided to install a pool in the fall of 2014. We contacted three pool companies to obtain cost estimates and Pleasure Pool was the only one that called us back. Art (owner) and Ken (his son) came to our house several times to discuss pool types, sizes and available options. They also met with us at one of their customer’s homes to view a pool they had installed a few years ago (same size/shape we were considering). We signed our contract in February 2015 and were first on the list for installation in the spring. They started excavating and digging the first week of April and that was exactly when they said they would start. The pool took about three weeks to install including delays for rainy, spring weather. Ken was onsite every day during installation and he oversaw all aspects of the installation. He kept us informed on progress and provided information that helped us make a decision on where to place the pool, how deep to make it and how to grade the yard. Ken was also aware of the broader aspects of our project that included additional concrete work and an outdoor fireplace. He built the pool and graded in a manner that allowed other contractors to get a head start on their parts of the project that saved us time and money. Pleasure Pool recommended contractors for fencing and concrete. We used their recommended fence contractor (who did an excellent job) but selected our own concrete contractor due to wanting a specific type of custom work. Ken kept in touch with the fence contractor so he knew when we would be ready for fencing – the fence installer was there the same day we started filling the finished pool with water. Ken also met with our concrete contractor while on-site and helped coordinate installation of concrete coping around the pool. Pleasure Pool was top-notch in terms of both quality and professionalism. They were extremely responsive, open to our ideas and worked very hard to make us happy with the end result. Ken, in particular, was fantastic to work with. During the project, he helped us move and save four large trees – something he did not have to do. Our pool has been completed for about two months now and he has called us two times to check-in, make sure we are happy and to see if we have any questions. I would definitely use Pleasure Pool again and give them my absolute highest recommendation for anyone considering installing a backyard pool.
Helped me fix a leaking pool filter. Instead of trying to sell me an expensive piece of equipment that I didn’t need, they suggested a way to fix the problem. Honest and helpful. Wow!
This crew has been a joy to work with. It is astonishing and refreshing to me that there are still people who care about their work and the customer. These guys are trustworthy and honest...If I would have known this project would run so smoothly, I would have done this a long time ago. I can't say enough about this experience. My husband, myself, and our children are living the summertime dream because of Pleasure Pool and Deck.
What can we say? We love our pool! It looks beautiful, thanks to Pleasure Pool and Deck. It was the only time I did not care to get up early, because I got to watch all the trucks and all the excitement going on in my backyard for a week. Now I have a summer vacation right in my backyard. I definitely would recommend Pleasure Pool and Deck to everyone! Great Job!
I want to express our thanks for taking care of the situation with our skimmer. We appreciate someone who stands behind their work and is willing to back it up. There are not to many companies or people who are willing to take the steps to maintain customer satisfaction like you do. We are constantly asked about our pool, and we are more than happy to tell everyone who did ours. We are proud of our pool as well as the people who installed it.
Pleasure Pools did an amazing job. We really love our pool. Art the owner took the time to come meet with us. He learned about how we planned on using our pool. He then helped custom plan and design the space to meet our family’s needs. The best suggestion was our automatic pool cover. Our pool is always safe, warm and clean. Pleasure Pools are the inground pool experts in the South Hills, in my opinion.
